I am obsessed with stained glass! I’ve always loved how the light plays with the different colors.
When I saw glass paint at my local dollar store I snapped it up to see if I could recreate some stained glass.
What better way than to try it out with a vase. This is where I got my inspiration for a tiffany inspired vase. The tiffany lamp was of course most famous was the stained leaded glass lamp.
You could of course use a sharpie marker to create the black lines, but I wanted to go for a more organic feel to capture the handmade quality of tiffany lamps.
Supplies Needed
- Plain glass vase ( I got mine on sale in Ikea for $1)
- Glass paints
- Paint Brushes
- Sharpie Marker
- Glue Gun
- Some extra bling if you want
Steps
Free hand shapes onto your vase using your sharpie marker, you can also look at tiffany lamps images for inspiration
When you are happy with your outline, select the colors you want to use and begin to fill in the shapes with your paint and paint brushes.
Allow to dry over night
If you want to add a bit more bling , take your glue gun and place your extra trimmings where you want.
Pop some flowers and water inside and enjoy!
